How can I completely reinstall my WorkgroupShare client?

This procedure will work for Imail versions 8.2x-10.02.

This will require that you completely re-install the client as follows:

Shut down Outlook and check using Task Manager that there are no instances of Outlook.exe in the process list.

Un-install the WorkgroupShare client using the Add/Remove Programs applet in Control Panel.

When the option to make a backup of the .pst file is presented, select yes.

Check that this has worked correctly.

The Shared Information folder should have been removed from Outlook and the following folders and their contents should have been deleted:

C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Softalk\WorkgroupShareClient
C:\Program Files\WorkgroupShare Client

If these items have not been deleted then delete them manually.

If Outlook has created copies of shared folders at the root level, delete these also.

Re-install the WorkgroupShare client using the latest client setup program from the WorkgroupShare server.
