How do I configure MDaemon's message recall feature?

To enable message recall from the MDaemon GUI:

Select Setup

Select Server Settings

Select Message Recall

Select Enable message recall

Define how many minutes the message will be delayed before MDaemon delivers the message

Select Apply

Select OK

To recall a message using WorldClient:

Select your Sent Items folder

Open the message that requires a recall

Select the Recall button

If the recall button is selected before the recall time limit expires, WorldClient will send a RECALL message to MDaemon.

To recall a message by sending a message to the MDaemon system account:

Select your Sent Items folder

Select the message that requires a recall

Forward the sent message as an attachment using the Forward as Attachment option

Define mdaemon@example.com in the TO field

Define RECALL as the message subject

Send the message

If the message is received by MDaemon before the recall time limit expires, MDaemon will delete the message from the queue.

To recall a message by sending a message to the MDaemon system account using the Message ID:

Select your Sent Items folder

Open the message headers of the message that requires a recall

Find the message ID value within the headers, for example:

Message-ID: <WC20131210175314.840001@example.com>

Copy everything to the right of the Message-ID: string for example:

<WC20131210175314.840001@example.com>

Compose a new message

Define mdaemon@example.com in the TO field

Define RECALL plus the message ID value as the message subject, for example:

RECALL <WC20131210175314.840001@example.com>

Send the message with no body

If the message is received by MDaemon before the recall time limit expires, MDaemon will delete the message from the queue.

*note*

All recall processing is logged to MDeamon's Routing.log and MDaemon.log files.
