How to export an SSL certificate in pfx format
1) Connect to the server you are working with using a remote desktop program of your choice and launch MMC.
2) Click File in the top left corner then click Add/Remove Snap-in.
3) Click Certificates then click Add.
4) Choose the Computer account option then finish the computer selection flow.
5) Click the dropdown arrow next to Certificates on the left to expand it then click the dropdown arrow for Personal.
6) Click the Certificates subfolder, you will see a list of all the SSL certificates display on the right side of the window.
7) Find the certificate you want to export, right click it and click All Tasks then click Export.
8) Click the Yes option for exporting the private key then proceed through the export flow until you see the Security screen.
9) Put a check in the Password box then create a strong password of your choosing.
10) Click Browse and find the Certificates folder. Enter a file name of your choosing and click Save.
11) Once the exporting flow is complete there should be a message stating the export was successful. Close the MMC window but click No when asked if the settings should be saved to Console1.
