How to use Message Sniffer without Declude in Smartermail 16x
First, you need to install Message Sniffer on your server using the installation file from the Arm Research website. When you install it, use the "Other" option. This will give you a generic SNFServer installation. After it is installed, follow the steps below:
1.) Log into the SmarterMail Admin Interface.
2.) Click the Settings sprocket on the upper left-hand side of the page.
3.) Click General Settings
4.) On the lower right-hand side of the screen, you will see the Spool box area.
5.) In the Spool box, slide the Command Line File slider to the right. This will activate the area.
6.) Add the following to the Command Line File area: c:\Program Files\SNF\SNFClient.exe %filepath (if this is your path to SNF)
7.) Click Save at the top left-hand side of the screen.
8.) Click on Antispam on the left-hand side of the screen.
9.) Click Spam Checks at the top of the screen.
10.) Double-click on SpamAssassin-Based Pattern Matching. A new box will open.
11.) Slide the Enable Spool Filtering slider to the right to activate it.
12.) In the Header Log Level box, pop it down and choose “Score with test names and descriptions”
13.) Click Save.
14.) Log into the actual SmarterMail server via RDP or whichever RA program the customer uses.
15.) Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\SmarterTools\Smartermail\Service\SAData (If this is your path to the SAData folder)
16.) Open the local.cf file with a text editor.
17.) Copy the contents of the snf-groups.cf file and paste them at the top of the local.cf file.
18.) Save the local.cf file.
