How to resolve "Message received has invalid format" error when sending to an Axigen hosted mailing list.
Symptom: Senders are receiving bounces which state, "Message received has invalid format" when trying to send to an Axigen hosted mailing list.
Reason: Your mailing list is set to allow only messages with a certain type of content come through, but the person sending mail to the mailing list is sending using a type of content that is not allowed.
Remedy:
Log into your Axigen WebAdmin area.
Under Domains & Account on the left, click Mailing Lists.
Select the domain where the mailing list resides
Click Edit next to the mailing list you want to work with
Click the Subscription and Posting tab
Under the Message Posting area, adjust the slider accordingly
Click Save Configuration at the bottom of the screen
